Today, I join the ranks of The Superproc: Warriors capable of using nearly every possible weapon that can trigger a red "!!" response from Abyssea NMs, allowing them to drop atma and abyssites. Club and staff, oddly enough, were the only ones I needed, and a full day of wailing on fortalices in Castle Zvahl brought me up to speed.

I feel like my Dark Knight is being neglected in favor of my Warrior, these days; despite the heightened priority I have in obtaining gear for the latter, I seem to always find myself dragging along a greataxe instead of a greatsword. Well, the good greatsword, anyway - my shitty L25 Windurstian Sword gets broken out for Freezebite since the Kalavejs is DRK-PLD only.

Get told what element the stagger trigger is. Equip the proper weapon. Wait for 100 TP. Let fly with the appropriate weaponskill. Stand next to the mages until the mob is dead because meleeing most Abyssea NMs is a death sentence anymore. It makes me antsy.

It's hard to stay angry sometimes.

I try to think back on at least this year and try to find something that I can be genuinely pissed at, but the only thing that really comes to mind is that I don't have a fucking Caladbolg yet. Or a third lunar abyssite, I guess, but who cares.

A move to Quetzalcoatl since I last updated and subsequently deleted the blog has been nothing but good things. Joining the rest of the Something Awful linkshell I've managed to get an incredible amount of shit done: when I first arrived I was a 75DRK 75WAR with Dynamis-Xarcabard access, and now I've got... 90DRK 90WAR, okay, and... only Chains of Promathia, Shantotto Ascension and Nyzul Isle truly complete, and... okay whatever. I'm on the last mission of Wings of the Goddess, that should count for something.

It's difficult to believe that for being active in the game for four years there's still a wealth of content I haven't experienced yet. Proto-Omega was cruelly snatched away from me by an internet fuckup at the time, Limbus shut down before a second run or an Ultima attempt gathered; I've only recently enlisted in an Einherjar shell; I remain only Rank 7 in Bastok; I have yet to beat Dynamis Lord or even enter Dynamis-Tavnazia; and my Treasures of Aht Urhgan group has been short a few members, putting me shy of Captain rank by several missions. Hell, I still need to finish my Warrior's Atlas and Sumeru to stay up-to-date on my weapons. Of course, the latter will probably never be done as Uleguerand Range is perpetually staffed by a horde of players farming snow geodes, killing all my tigers. Bhaflau just seems like it'd be annoying.

Still holding out that we'll get a new expansion announced by June, when the 99cap hits and Abyssea officially becomes far too easy even for the shitty supercasual crowd. Even then I'm sure a few members in my Abyssea shell will find a way to screw things up. Here's hoping, because that shit is hilarious, sometimes.
